There is also a Junior Pistol team (High Caliber) that starts in the fall, and an in-house league that begins in January.  For those interested in competing on the Lee team in the Berkshire County Pistol League matches (NRA Gallery Rim-Fire Bullseye Pistol), please click here for the 2024 schedule: 2024 BCPL Match Schedule.

*Volunteer(s) Needed for Indoor Pistol Range Winter League*

Indoor Pistol Range Chairman Eric DuPont is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to take over this coming Winter League on the Indoor Pistol Range. Typically, the in-house league runs for 10 weeks beginning in mid-January through mid-March, meeting one night a week, and hosts three events: 50 ft. small bore rifle, NRA gallery rimfire bullseye pistol, and a combat centerfire shoot. All of LSA’s programs and events are ran by volunteers, and if no one takes the initiative or volunteers, then this program will not occur in 2024.

USPSA: Cost: $20. Cold Range Rules apply; gun handling only at Safety Table. 5 magazines are required. USPSA is a fun and fast action shooting sport where we balance accuracy, power, and speed into a winning combination. Multiple targets, moving targets, targets that react when hit, penalty targets, or even partially covered targets, obstacles, movement, and other techniques are all used to keep USPSA shooters challenged and spectators engaged. USPSA matches are held all over the US with local clubs holding matches practically every day of the week.  You probably already own everything you need to compete in USPSA – come on out and give it a try.

Steel Challenge: Includes .22LR rifle. It is .22 & PCC friendly; pistols or long semi-auto (any caliber except .357 or 44 mag.). Six stages are set up based on official steel challenge designs. Registration 9:30am, Safety briefing 11:30am, begins at 12pm. Cost: $20 for 1st gun, $10 for 2nd gun.  5 MAGAZINES OR SPEED LOADER REQUIRED.  Here is a Steel Challenge video.

Our trap machine is capable of single or double targets, wobble singles and wobble doubles upon request. We have a patterning board available for assessing impact and spacing of pellets for your clay shooting guns.
LSA uses standard 108mm Lawry orange trap and skeet targets and 108mm orange rabbit targets at our facilities. Use of personal trap machines and targets is not allowed at our facility.

12, 20, 16 and .410 gauge shotguns

No shot larger than 7.5 allowed on the shotgun fields for the safety of our constituents, equipment and facilities.

Trap Big 50: LSA in association with the Amateur Trapshooting Assoc. (ATA) will once again host the Big 50 Trap Program in 2024. The Big 50 Program has been instituted by the ATA to encourage shooters into registered trap shooting. The program will feature 50 registered targets per event. The Big 50 shoots will be scheduled weekly on Wednesdays. During these times, the trap field will be open to the public for registered Big 50 and non-registered shooting. Both registered and non-registered shooters may shoot at the same time and on the same squad. All levels of shooters are welcome. For further information, please contact us at info@leesportsmen.com.

5-Stand: Our 5-Stand course will be open, weather permitting. Runs from 9am–12pm. Sign in begins at 9am.

What is 5-Stand? It is a cross between trap, skeet, and sporting clays, with the advantage that it is more action packed than trap, has more cross flying patterns than skeet, and is faster and less expensive than sporting clays. It will definitely make you a better wing shot, so give it a try.

This is where rabbits, turkey and pheasants, turtles, frogs and precious little newts and many other species roam. In our opinion, we have a canopy of most beautiful trees, shrubland for birds in particular to forage and hide, and a ground layer with grasses and sedge. Spring is a great time to forage mushrooms native to the New England area.

Members and guests that are bird watchers, hikers and naturalists are encouraged to explore our property at their leisure while staying safely away from range activities. We have been busy the last several years denoting our range areas for visibility with signage. If you believe we need more, please let us know.

The Lee Boy Scouts troop frequently use our facilities and land for camp outs, earning merit badges and adventures. We only ask that like the scouts, you leave no trace of your passing. We are all stewards of the LSA.

Like the Boy Scouts, you leave no trace of your passing and please respect our wildlife.
We are all stewards of the LSA.

Co-Chairs Brianna Kelly and Mike Kelly of the Fish and Game Committee

Recipient of the 2022 Lee Sportsmens Association Scholarship, Brianna Kelly is an example of the education and foundations of LSA. From a young age, Brianna spent time alongside her father hunting, and then became involved in the Youth Hunt programs. Through that experience she found a calling in raising and feeding our pheasants, often late to football games to make sure the pheasants were cared for.

She would tell you these experiences shaped her in a way nothing else had. She’s now attending The University of New Hampshire to study Wildlife Biology and Conservation. We couldn’t be more proud of Brianna and feel privileged to have made a difference in her life. We look forward to learning from her.
