The in-house Winter Indoor Pistol League will commence IN PERSON on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 6:30pm and continue every Thursday for 10 weeks until March 16th. It will feature both rim fire and center fire pistol matches, and rim fire rifle competitions. There will be 3 events in all. The cost will be $40.00 for one event and $5.00 for each event after that.
We will start at 6:30pm shooting the rim fire rifle match. Each shooter will shoot 30 rounds at a 50 ft. small bore rifle target (A-17). Shooters may lean against the front of the port and rest their elbows on the top of the port. Rifles may be equipped with scopes.
At 7pm, we will shoot an NRA gallery rim fire bullseye pistol match. Each shooter will shoot 10 rounds at a standard 50 ft. slow fire target (B-2), 10 rounds at a standard 50 ft. timed fire target (B-3), and 10 rounds at a standard rapid-fire target (B-3). The NRA gallery match is shot one-handed; however, we do allow a two-handed class for our league for those who would rather shoot in this manner.
There will be a combat match when the NRA gallery match is finished. Shooters will fire 25 rounds into a silhouette target at three different positions. The ammunition used will be any centerfire pistol cartridge.

Every year, MassWildlife stocks an average of 40,000 pheasants on Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) and other lands open to the public. LSA helps raise and release these wonderful birds. These birds are stocked for recreational hunting and are paid for by revenue from license fees; however, the cost of raising and releasing the pheasants is the responsibility of LSA, and the caretakers are all Club volunteers. So, come on out for a day of fun and delicious food, and help support a great cause to ensure our continued legacy of wildlife management and hunting heritage in the Berkshires.
