Jordon Peck has stepped down from the Board of Directors and has left a Director seat vacant. The LSA Board of Directors would like to thank Jordon for her service to the Club and wish her much luck in her future endeavors. A special election will be held during the April 5th, 2023 Membership Meeting at 7pm to vote on who will temporarily take her place on the Board until the next Annual Membership Meeting in November 2023. In accordance with the Bylaws, Article IV, Section 2 (a & b)., “this temporarily elected Director shall continue until the next annual meeting at which time this vacancy shall be filled for the balance of the unfilled term of the vacated seat by a majority vote of Members present.” In other words, the person elected for this Board of Directors position in April will temporarily carry out the position until the Annual Membership Meeting and Elections being held on November 1, 2023, at 7pm. At that time, this Director position will be up for another vote, and the person who is elected to this vacancy at the Annual Membership Meeting and Elections will carry out the remainder of the Director term for this position, which is until 2025. If you wish to run for this vacancy and have not yet let your intentions be known, please attend the Membership Meeting on April 5th at 7pm and do so before voting takes place. Good luck to all of the candidates!
In accordance with the LSA Bylaws, the LSA Board of Directors are seeking Membership approval for up to $8,000 to purchase and install the remainder of Shot-Stop curtain (50′ x 60′ shot curtain qty. 6 $6,000) and other expenses (rental of man lift for 2 days, delivery, and incidental expenses $2,000) between the Outdoor Pistol Ranges and Shotgun Fields. All of the telephone poles have been installed and one section of 150-foot-wide by 16-foot-tall section of Shot-Stop screen has also been installed between Bay 1 of the Outdoor Pistol Range and the Shotgun Fields. A reminder: We are reflecting spall – not direct pistol fire – with this project and the goal is that we are able to run programs on both the Outdoor Pistol Range and the Shotgun Fields simultaneously. This expenditure requires Membership approval, and a vote will be taken at the April 2023 Membership Meeting being held on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, at 7pm in the Main Clubhouse. Please direct any further questions or concerns to the LSA Board of Directors at bod@leesportsmen.com, and we will do our best to assist you.

To those members who have already completed the membership renewal process, thank you for your continued and generous support of Lee Sportsmen’s Association! If you did not renew before January 31st, 2023, your gate key card has been turned off on February 1st. In accordance with the LSA Bylaws, Members will be granted a grace period ending on January 31st to renew an existing membership while maintaining the eligibility requirements. To be considered on time, renewal paperwork must be postmarked or hand delivered to the Treasurer before the end of the grace period. Those renewing their membership after January 31st, 2023, will be charged a reinstatement fee of $20 in addition to annual dues to regain access to the Club, and will not be eligible to run for any open Board of Directors or Officers positions in the annual election of November 2023. Anyone renewing after April 1st, 2023, will need to reapply for membership at a regular Membership Meeting and attend Orientation before their membership is reinstated.
