Upcoming Range Closures
The Main Clubhouse (Indoor Archery & Indoor Pistol Ranges) will be CLOSED at 6:30pm on the first & last Wednesdays of the month for Membership Meeting / Board of Directors Meeting (full schedule posted on the Calendar).
The Indoor Archery & Pistol; Outdoor Archery, Pistol & Rifle Ranges will be CLOSED on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, for the 2nd Annual LSA BBQ Fundraiser.
The Indoor Archery & Pistol Ranges will be CLOSED at 7am to 3:30pm on Saturday, Aigist 29th, 2026, for Basic Hunter Education Course.
The Rifle Range will be CLOSED one Sunday monthly for NRL22 matches, remaining 2026 Dates: September 6th, October 4th, and November 1st.
The Shotgun Fields will be CLOSED one Sunday monthly for Outdoor Pistol USPSA matches, remaining 2026 Dates: September 6th, October 4th, and November 15th.
The Outdoor Pistol Ranges are closed during Shotgun Fields public hours or events as posted to the Club Calendar by order of the LSA Board of Directors.
All regular Range hours can be located by clicking on the particular range from the list located on our Ranges page.

PLEASE NOTE: The posted speed limit on the road leading to the Club grounds is 15mph. Road repairs and maintenance will be occurring soon, as well as work by the road owner, so please observe the speed limit to help keep our volunteers and neighbors safe!

Pheasants Have Arrived!
If you have visited the club recently, you probably noticed that the pheasant pen located adjacent to the Main Clubhouse has been stocked with about 400-500 pheasants, which LSA raises for the state of Massachusetts. Every year, MassWildlife stocks an average of 40,000 pheasants on Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) and other lands open to the public. These birds are stocked for recreational hunting and are paid for by revenue from license fees; however, the cost of raising the pheasants is the responsibility of LSA, and the caretakers are all Club volunteers. We ask that you please do not let your dog(s) wander unattended over near the pen, and if you witness any suspicious or abnormal activity in/on/near the pen, to please contact President Doug Frank at (413) 822-6490 as soon as possible.

Basic Hunter Education Course Field Day – Saturday, August 29th, 2026 @ 8am - 4pm
Lee Sportsmen’s Association has scheduled a blended Basic Hunter Education Course with MassWildlife, in which students complete the online MA Hunter Study Guide before attending one in-person Field Day. For the blended format, participants must:
- Complete the online MA Hunter Study Guide at huntercourse.com.
- Use this online form to register, provide proof of completing the study guide, and select a field day (dates listed on the website below).
- Attend the field day at LSA on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, from 8am to 4pm to finish the course and take the final exam.

The field day at LSA has been scheduled for Saturday, August 29th, 2026, from 8am to 4pm, and participants are required to sign up for the field day through the MassWildlife website, as LSA does not handle registration. Please contact MassWildlife directly for any further questions or concerns at (508) 389-7820. All courses are free of charge and open to the public. Students 17 years old or younger must have parental consent to attend this course, and parents/guardians are invited and encouraged to stay for the in-person field day session as well.
NRL22 Matches Began March 29th, 2026 - 10am Registration, Rifle Range
We will be holding the NRL22 .22LR precision-rifle matches on the 1st Sunday of each month in 2026 with exceptions for March & April (March 29th, April 12th, May 3rd, June 7th, July 5th, August 2nd, September 6th, October 4th, and November 1st), 10am Registration, 10:30am Safety Briefing & Sighting Shoot, 11am Start. Rules and courses of fire can be found at NRL22.com. Cost: Members $20, Non-Members $30 (1 person/1 rifle), spots are limited and registration required through Practiscore.com.
The matches are open to the public. Competitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Acceptable rifles include any .22LR Bolt-Action or Semi-Automatic rifles (tube magazines are not permitted) or air rifles. Please register at the match site “Lee Sportsmen’s Association – NRL22” at Practiscore.com.

Steel Challenge: Includes .22LR rifle. It is .22& PCC friendly; pistols or long semi-auto (any caliber except .357 or 44mag.). Six stages are set up based on official steel challenge designs. Registration 9:30am, Safety briefing 11:30am, begins at 12pm. Cost: $20 for 1st gun, $10 for 2nd gun. 5 MAGAZINES OR SPEED LOADER REQUIRED. USPSA: Cost: $20. Cold Range Rules apply; gun handling only at Safety Table. 5 magazines are required. USPSA is a fun and fast action shooting sport where we balance accuracy, power, and speed into a winning combination. Multiple targets, moving targets, targets that react when hit, penalty targets, or even partially covered targets, obstacles, movement, and other techniques are all used to keep USPSA shooters challenged and spectators engaged. USPSA matches are held all over the US with local clubs holding matches practically every day of the week. Trap Big 50 Began June 3rd, 2026 - Wednesdays @ 5pm, Shotgun Fields
LSA in association with the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) will once again host the Big 50 Trap Program in 2026! The Big 50 Program has been instituted by the ATA to encourage shooters into registered trapshooting. The program will feature 50 registered targets per event. The Big 50 shoots will be scheduled weekly on Wednesdays, from June 3rd through August 26th, 2026, with a 5pm start. During these times, the trap field will be open to the public for registered Big 50 and non-registered shooting. Both registered and non-registered shooters may shoot at the same time and on the same squad. All levels of shooters are welcome. For further information, please contact us at info@leesportsmen.com.
WANTED: Volunteer LSA Youth Programs Junior Pistol & Air Pistol Coaches & RSOs
The LSA Youth Programs Committee is looking for a few volunteer junior pistol and air pistol coaches and Range Safety Officers (RSOs) to assist with the 2026-2027 seasons. High Caliber trainings began in December, and Air2Spare’s next season will begin in April 2026. Candidates must agree to CORI background check and eligible training expenses can be reimbursed.
