High Caliber is a youth team for athletes middle-school age (6th grade) through age 21 who want to shoot precision pistol. The team begins training weekly in late fall and conclude in the spring, check the Calendar for dates and times. In January, eligible shooters can begin competitions against adult teams from around Berkshire County in the Berkshire County Pistol League. We begin the athletes with benched, supported shooting, with the goal to get them to one-handed, non-supported shooting.
Outdoor Bullseye shooting competitions are available from April through October throughout the Northeast region. If any athlete wishes to pursue this further than locally, the National Competition is held in the summer months at Port Clinton, OH at the National Guard Range of Camp Perry.
Athletes of any skill level are welcome. We have loaner guns and do fundraising to buy ammo and defray other team costs. Athletes must participate in at least 85% of training/practices to be eligible to shoot in competitions. If you are interested in more information or to help volunteer, please contact Coaches Eric and Stephanie DuPont at youth@leesportsmen.com or text/call (215) 668-7808.
